Cutting Through the Fog
At any given point, most of us are doing something that is working. We have habits or practices that contribute to health, good relationships, productivity, or peace.
Of course, at any given point, most of us are doing something that may be hurting the situation. Perhaps a tweak or a major overhaul are in order.
As you evaluate your current reality, look for what is working. You are doing something right!
So, what is working right now? Think through the status of your life. What are you doing right? Feel good about that and keep it up!
If nothing is working very well for you yet, find what is working for someone else! The path you are walking has been blazed by people before you. Actively seek support. Learn from them. What was helpful to them? What do they recommend? Don’t be embarrassed to ask; most people are flattered to share what they have learned.
To cut through the fog, I urge you to plunge beneath the presenting issue to the real issue. Define what is hurting and what is working.
Then, find the bright spots and build on them! Identify the flaws, consider how you could make a change, and just do it. Ignoring a problem only allows it to fester. Granted, most change takes persistence and assistance. Still, you must make a start.
What’s working and what’s hurting?
Worth Repeating
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
