A lacuna is a blank space or a missing part…a gap.
Some people have a gap in their teeth. Some, it would seem, have a lacuna between their ears! We notice when something is missing in our fast food drive through bag, on a misspelled neon sign, or in the refrigerator. Some lacunas are more noticeable than others.
I’m pretty sure we all prefer for people to assume that we have no gaps in our life. No deficiencies whatsoever. And in many areas, you may very well “have all of your ducks in a row.”
But the truth is that most of us could use some advice, guidance, or help in some area of our lives. Perhaps you need to learn more about the disease you are living with, or perhaps you need some advice about the business you want to start. Maybe you could use some spiritual or relational guidance. Or, it could be that stress is getting the best of you and someone could coach you through it.
Close your eyes. Quiet your mind. Where’s your lacuna? Your gap?
Now, who could help you with that? It’s your move.
Worth Repeating
Your problem is to bridge the gap between where you are now and the goal you intend to reach.
