The blue of this water defies description. Accented by the Sierra Nevada mountain range, Lake Tahoe demands attention.
Now I see what all the fuss is about.
Not long ago, my wife and I had the chance to slip out to Lake Tahoe while in Reno to speak at a conference. So, we rented a really small car, and zipped out to poddle along the north shore, shopping, watching, and driving.
With the first, crisp hints of fall in the air, we joined the post-labor day crowd, which wasn’t really so crowded. Peace abounds here. Besides the stunning views, we sensed that we had entered a sacred space, a soothing environment, a special place.
Thankful to have visited Lake Tahoe, we also have destinations that we visit more frequently. Martin Nature Park in Oklahoma City, Chickasaw State Park in West Tennessee, Roman Nose State Park, Beavers Bend, and many other locations deliver the peace and renewal that help me re-center.
As these perfect days of Autumn entice you, step out or drive out to your sacred space.
Worth Repeating
Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.
