Gently, the sun warmed my face. The tall pines reflected perfectly in the still water. The wind sang through acres of trees.

No brooding, just good breathing. Perched on top of an old stone spring house by the side of Lost Lake, I sat and allowed my soul to catch a breath.

Then, I heard a twig snap behind me. I turned to find an attractive lady in her mid-40’s with a frazzled man in his mid-50’s and their very expensive camera and stand. His eyes were wild. I had seen them about 4 hours earlier as we both climbed around the rocks at Robbers Cave State Park in Wilburton, Oklahoma.

“Where’s the $%&*@! cave, man? I mean, do you know how to get from here to the cave?” he asked with increasing volume and then related their futile attempts over the past 4 hours to find the entrance to Robbers Cave.

I did my best to point them back in the right direction and even help them locate themselves on the map. True, the entrance to the cave is a bit hard to spot and even tougher to reach, but it’s only about 10 minutes from the parking lot! They had been lost for 4 hours in their attempts to find it!

He begrudgingly thanked me and hurried off with his wife and camera to continue their tiring quest for the cave. I resumed a great moment in time.

Sometimes you’re lost and sometimes you’re found.

I hope your path leads you to your desired destination.
