A mere forecast of snow is enough to elicit…

squeals from children…

restful longing from adults…

visions of no school, no work, needed rest.

Snowfall captures and feeds our inner sense of beauty and serenity…

with large, soft flakes…

slowly falling at an angle…

painting the fields and streets and lawns with peace.

So we watch out the window…

gazing into its therapeutic rhythm…

breathing more slowly and more fully…

enjoying the restful sabbath of a snow day.

Worth Repeating

Silently, like thoughts that come and go, the snowflakes fall, each one a gem.
