Living well today and releasing yesterday
When you look back on your life, you’ll regret the things you didn’t do more than the ones you did. H. Jackson Brown, Jr. is attributed with this quote, but many others have asserted similar statements.

I tend to agree.

While you may indeed regret some bad decisions or lack of action, these are in the past. And while consequences may affect you, you still have choices to make today. So, consider these four keys to living with no regrets:

1. Go for it! Take the next step. Make forward progress. Whatever it is that you want to do, take at least some small step in that direction today. For instance, save a little, pay off a little, or learn a little bit more about moving in the direction of financial wellbeing.

2. Surround yourself. When you initiate your Research and Development team, or surround yourself with a band of allies for whatever you are trying to do, you are more likely to do it! As one who tends toward independence, I continually learn that I do better with any goal (spiritual, family, vocational, etc.) when I surround myself with good people and let them know what I’m trying to accomplish.

3. Embrace today! You are not living in yesterday or tomorrow. You are here now with what you have and where you are with who and what you know. It’s the perfect place to start. Everyone starts from right where they are. Even with substantial challenges, you begin today! Live 110% today, doing what you know is the right thing to do right now.

4. Take it easy…on yourself. Remember, you’re not asking yourself for perfection, but you are pursuing excellence. On the path of excellence, there is room for grace. Grace to learn from yesterday and get back up again today!

Worth Repeating
I want to live my life so that my nights are not full of regrets.
