Putting yourself in a position to experience the new
The cobblestone beneath your feet keeps you alert, as the smell of Bar-b-que and sweet delicacies combines with the distinct aroma of a crowd of vacationers. Relaxing and repugnant all at the same time!
Since it’s July 1st, chances are, you’re plotting a getaway or have perhaps just returned from one. Even one night away can do the trick sometimes. So, if this fits your mood, I have one suggestion: put yourself in a position to experience the newness of a sweet adventure!
When we visit new places, our kids are enamored with the sights of the new and mysterious. They experience new tastes in food, smell those distinct smells, and imbibe the sense of adventure all around.
So do I. And, so should you. Don’t ever think you’re too old for that!
Whether the summer of 2016 takes you down the road or across the world, put yourself in a position to experience the wonder of things that perk up your brain and your innate sense of creativity. Indulge it a little bit. Learn something new. Allow yourself to be fascinated. Lean in to your inner explorer.
Enjoy a sweet adventure!
