Life Lessons from Super Bowl LI

Down 28-3 in the 3rd quarter, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots rattled off 31 unlikely points to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28. Expecting good entertainment from the commercials and the halftime show, I received unexpected life lessons from the game:
• Never quit.
• Just keep going.
• You’re never out of it.

This should remind you that you still have life to live. The present circumstances do not get the final say over you.

Working with many people who are in the last decade of their lives has taught me the same lessons. I can’t count how many times I have met someone in their 80’s, who has lived a rather successful life, but overcome serious adversity along the way. Business failures, illnesses, divorce, premature deaths, and more have happened to these people. But, they kept going, kept learning.

Everyone has their struggles. So do you. So do I. But we keep going anyway.

Yes! You can do it. You are not finished. You can keep going!

Worth Repeating

If you’re going through hell, keep going.
