Better Questions #4

There are moments you don’t want to miss. And in the midst of busyness, stress, and preoccupation, you do well to ask this question in a different light to engage those moments that matter. What time is it?

-The birth of a child. This is a time to laugh, cry, and bathe yourself in the miracle of life.

-Many moments along the way from baby skin kisses to witnessing the wonder in their eyes to struggling through setbacks and celebrating accomplishments. It’s time to be there, to be available and present.

-The fleeting days prior to graduations. Time to savor, enjoy, and appreciate.

-Quiet moments in a long slog of sickness with a family member. Time to transcend unfortunate circumstances by saying or doing what needs to be said or done.

-When you get there and realize it is now here with any goal. Time for a healthy dose of gratitude and reflection.

-A break in the action. Time to allow yourself to breathe.

-Milestones. Time to say thank you.

-Hospice. Time to say the things you’ll wish you would have said.

What time is it for you?
