Taking Care of You #1
Do you have a sacred space? Can you retreat to a specific location to change your mind and your mood for the better? If you close your eyes, you may think of a location that generates a strong sense of relaxation, release, and replinishment.
You are probably familiar with the idea of feng shui to create harmony and balance through the use of energy in the most positive way.
The kids room after a playdate is NOT it. The pile up of laundry, dishes and disarray after an abnormally busy week when someone has also been sick…NOT it. Industrial lighting…again, NOT it.
Your sacred space, your intentional feng shui environment might look like this:
The outdoor space where you see and hear the gurgle of a fountain, the fragrant beauty of fresh flowers, and perhaps the flicker of a fire pit. Or, it might be a nook or a corner in a room with well-placed art, plants, music, and seating. You could even create a corner of your office that helps you release stress.
You have experienced these spaces…designed for peace, sometimes in shopping areas, restaurants, or vacation destinations. But, you can create or find your own space. You might identify an ideal space at your favorite outdoor cafe surrounded by well-kept greenery, elegant stone work, and pleasant smells.
Find yours or create it. Then, enter that sacred space of refreshment on a regular basis.
