New Adventures

Summer Sightings #3

In the 6th inning, they packed it up. Their 8-month-old baby had done well at his first AAA Dodgers baseball game. But, these young parents would not be seeing the end of the game. Still, they had embarked on a grand, new experience for their child.

Parents take their children on new adventures in the summer. Children may often see a side of their parents that is rarely revealed except on getaways. New adventures leave indelible images in the brain such as these:

  • Kids witnessing their disheveled dad on a runaway water park ride.
  • Families cheering as one of their own gets pulled on stage to become part of the show.
  • Exploring natural wonders and sharing the pics for years to come.
  • The deep satisfaction of a parent watching their children’s utter amazement at seeing a major site for the first time.
  • And even adventures gone awry that turn into hilarious stories told year after year.

Summer is often the backdrop for these new adventures that turn into precious memories. They may happen on extensive vacations or on quick local staycations. Take a moment to pull up your catalogue of mental summer memories and go make some more.

Worth Repeating
