You may be surprised with clarity. It seems like such an obvious consideration that you may rarely articulate it in your head or verbalize it with others.
When you ask this question, you immediately push lesser ideas to the side. The notions with the most credibility rise to the top. Furthermore, this question is scalable. It works for rather acute, minor issues as well as major life decisions.
