Destinations #2
You get started with great intent and expectation. You are excited.
Then, things become boring, challenging or frustrating. The middle part of the journey may drag on for so long that you lose sight of your goal, your destination.
This dynamic applies to diets, fitness programs, organizational strategic plans, entrepreneurial ventures, and just about anything you set out to do. You begin to question the validity of your goal. You are tempted to abandon it and switch to something else. You encounter unforeseen hurdles, and your strategy may need to be tweaked.
If the goal is worth starting and finishing, it is worth mustering everything you have to keep going. Push through. Do one more day, complete one more task. When you reacquaint yourself with the vision of your destination, you remember why you began and how important completion will be.
This will only happen as you keep going. You can do this. You have more than enough to do what you need to do today.
Worth Repeating
Don’t be afraid of the challenges, the missteps, and the setbacks along the way. What matters is that you keep going.
