Instigators of Good #2
They pull up into the driveway of the old, neglected house.
She hears their motor, and peers through the window.
They will be her only visitors today.
Their smiles, brief conversation, and hot meal delivery brighten her day.
As she eats, she savors the taste of kindness.

Grieving, disoriented, and overwhelmed,
She reels from the long expected, yet sudden loss of her loved one.
Surrounded by family helping to make plans and offer comfort,
The doorbell rings and she receives more food and words of sympathy.
Later, as she nibbles at the casserole, she reflects on the taste of kindness.

He leads, serves, works, and gives.
He bears the burdens and stresses of keeping his employees working and the company afloat.
On the day of celebration, they take him to his favorite lunch place,
And shower him mostly with gift cards.
Every time he uses those gift cards, he is aware of the taste of kindness.

Instigators of good,
Wanting to offer expressions of love and appreciation,
Doing what seems so small,
Deliver the taste of kindness,
In the form of food.
