Paradox #1

Walking into the room of children, I was instantly struck by the inherent chaos. One child banged on the piano, while another strummed on a mini-guitar. Several of them were blowing on kazoos and toy flutes, while one future stage star belted out some unrecognizable tune.

What a lovely moment of pandemonium. I had experienced a harmonious cacophony.

You know the kind, paradoxical in nature. Your holiday gatherings may offer up a similar taste with multiple conversations, children running through the room and smiles on all of the faces. Or, perhaps you have been to a spirited fundraising walk/run event for an important cause. These, too, capture beauty and chaos intermingling.

While your days may often be well ordered and operate according to plan, remain open to the wonderful enigmas of life. If you stumble into a harmonious cacophony, take a moment to reflect and appreciate, then lend your voice.
