Paradox #2
Walking in the tension of goals, dreams and improvement while also enjoying the moment may be one of the greatest challenges of life.
To live with constant dissatisfaction of present realities is miserable. But to give up on the pursuit of your personal best or making things better is equally deflating. So, you live in the tension.
Rather than an either/or proposition, this challenge affords a full both/and opportunity. Yes, put yourself in a position to receive peace. And yes, push to make yourself and the world around you better. Find the problems, create new solutions, fight for progress. And also breathe, smile and allow for deep joy at the smallest beauties the world provides.
It’s okay to be peacefully discontent.
Worth Repeating
Both/and honors the full complicated reality that life presents.
