In 49 B.C. Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon, signaling the start of civil war. The Rubicon is a shallow river in northern Italy and Caesar’s crossing of it has since become an idiom for passing a point of no return.
Have you ever crossed the Rubicon?
Perhaps yours was a decision to move, to change careers, or to start a new treatment. Maybe your choice was a little less dramatic than a “point of no return.” Or, maybe it was.
But we know our critical decisions. Some, we procrastinate and avoid. Some, we regret. Others, we are immensely proud of.
So, how about 2014? Is there some significant decision that is pressing in on you that needs to be made? Or, is there some grand opportunity that you need to proactively engage?
Prepare. Consult wise counselors. Count the cost. Take courage.
And cross your Rubicon!
Worth Repeating
You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.
