What do people talk about at the end?
A hospice chaplain describes what she has learned:
They talk about the love they felt, and the love they gave. Often they talk about love they did not receive, or the love they did not know how to offer, the love they withheld, or maybe never felt for the ones they should have loved unconditionally.
In all of the hectic grasping for what we want out of life, sometimes we miss the point of life. Prioritizing becomes much clearer from the perspective of your last sunrise and sunset.
So, this is a good reminder for me, and I hope that it is for you.
Worth Repeating
The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.
