Ideas to Cut Through the Fog
Tough decisions are tough for a reason. If you are living through a season of chaos, this is especially true. Consider these three ideas for better decision making courtesy of the Heath Brothers from their book, Decisive.

1. Widen your options. Any time you’re tempted to think “Should I do this OR that? instead ask yourself, ‘Is there any way I can do this AND that.’ It’s surprisingly frequent that it’s feasible to do both things.”

2. Find someone who’s solved your problem. Check in on your competition to see what they did, or find someone who has travelled the path before you. Chances are, you’ll learn something, or better yet, not have to “reinvent the wheel.”

3. Zoom out, zoom in. Intentionally take a moment to consider your predicament from the wide perspective and from a very close perspective. What you see from one angle sometimes improves what you can see from another.

I hope your decision making gains clarity by employing these three simple suggestions.

Worth Repeating

It does not take much strength to do things, but it requires a great deal of strength to decide what to do.
