For your life, not just for your lawn
Last Saturday, I did a four hour meditation on weeds.
This mental/spiritual exercise was aided by the fact that I was literally pulling weeds in our yard for those four hours! We loved the May showers, but since I didn’t do much tidying up during May, the weeds had grown strong.
And this is how it is. The weeds of debt, toxic relationships, resentment, laziness, etc. tend to grow unless we do regular maintenance to eliminate them.
Of course, I have noticed in my front yard that with ample water and fertilizing, the grass grows deep green and strong, with minimal need for weed pulling. So, feeding is crucial as well.
I suggest that you feed…
Your heart with people who contribute life to your life.
Your soul with spiritual space.
Your mind by learning and engaging your curiosity.
Your body with fresh foods, rest, and regular exercise.
Weed and feed. It’s not just for your lawn.
Worth Repeating
Feed your dreams and starve your fears.
