When it finally happens
Just about the time she felt like giving up, it happened. After many failed job interviews and hopes for promotion, the call came. The very job she had prayed for and visualized for years came open, and it arrived in the form of an offer, not an interview. At long last.
Have you hoped and worked and prayed for something for years that finally happened? Enduring, persisting, and pressing on? Perhaps at times even almost giving in to doubt, defeat, and forgetting about it?
You’re thinking of something. What is that one thing that fits this description for you? Current hope, still unfulfilled. Or maybe you’re thinking of a old hope, now realized.
From time to time I do a little exercise in thinking about the things I used to hope and work and yearn for that are now reality. And I am reminded to be so grateful.
This little exercise also reminds me to put my current hopes in perspective and not to give up. Rather, this reminds me to work and strive that much more.
I hope you are reminded to be grateful for things that have become your current reality! And, as you consider future and as yet unrealized hopes, I wish for you to experience them…
At long last.
Worth Repeating
My hopes are not always realized, but I always hope.
