One word can make the difference

What if one word could change your mind? What if your whole posture toward a person, a job, or a task could be improved by adopting a new key word that resets your expectations?

Like you, the majority of my life is described by action words like work, thrive, strive, etc. But perhaps one of the most important words I have adopted in recent years is this one:

Receive.

Especially when it comes to the spiritual aspects of life, this word seems apt. Could you receive love? Joy? Peace? Receiving assumes openness. To be receptive is to welcome. The notion of receptivity suggests goodness.

What if your spiritual experiences were defined by an overtone of receptiveness? What about relationships?

Mostly we live very active lives. And, receiving seems like a passive thing to do. But, receiving takes intention. This is not typically something done accidentally. You put yourself in a position to receive.

What do you need to receive? In what area have you been clawing and clamoring and hoping and wishing when the answer is right in front of you? This one word could make the difference.

Worth Repeating

Love cures people-both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it.
