Serenity Secrets #2
You can do one thing right now.
Sure, you have lots of things to do. You have a gajillion emails, meetings, and projects to finish if you could ever quit going to meetings. You have things at home to clean, fix, and maintenance. You have people to call, goals to reach, and fires to put out. You may be living on empty.
But right now, you can do one thing.
Make a list with two columns. In one column write down the things you’re worried about and need to do. Then, in the other column, write down the one thing you are choosing to do right now. Just one.
If completion or even a start on that item takes an hour or less, do the next one thing.
If your life is out of control, stressful, and overwhelming, try this little exercise in managing multiple tasks. Forget multi-tasking. Current research is disproving its effectiveness.
One.
One task at a time. One thing at a time. One hour at a time.
One.
Worth Repeating
It is vain to do with more what can be done with less.
