20 Seconds #3
Sometimes, all it takes is a mere 20 seconds for you to realize that your life has changed.
…You got the job!
…She said yes!
…It’s a girl!
…He died last night.
…You have cancer.
…We’re empty nesters.
…You’ve been accepted.
Naturally, the lead up to these momentous revelations can take weeks or even years of anticipation or hard work. But, you don’t know until you know. It isn’t reality until it’s happening.
In a mere 20 seconds or less, your world can change for the better or the worse in the ways identified above and in so many more. You have probably had the experience of being blindsided by this type of news. And you would probably agree that you prefer to be prepared.
Think about your next year, maybe the next five years. What is likely to happen? Is there a way you can prepare or visualize your response?
Worth Repeating
Change is inevitable. Growth is optional.
