Glimpses of Care #1
He used to drive everywhere.
All over the state supervising his crew,
On vacation to many destinations,
And for all the errands and outings life entails.
Now, he is driven.
He and his bride have switched seats,
And she drives him to appointments, classes, groups,
For the socializing and therapies that keep him going.
But, he is still driven in another sense,
Beyond who is beyond the wheel,
He is driven to live, to succeed, to overcome,
This unwelcome condition they face each day.
