Entering a New Year

As 2025 comes to a close and 2026 arrives, you will do well to take a moment for reflection and projection.

Reflection
What went well this past year? Why?
Consider all areas of your life: spiritual, physical, family, friends, adventure, financial, work, service or other ways you may think about and organize your world. Identify at least 3 things.

What did not go well? Why?
Everyone experiences challenges and disappointments. What can you learn from these?

Projection
In each area of your life, can you visualize how you would like 2026 to end? Imagine taking inventory a year from now. What do you want things to look like? Can you reverse engineer a strategy to make this possible? What are your most likely challenges in the year ahead?

You might use this 3 step tool:

  1. Goal: outcome you want to achieve or actualize.
  2. Strategy: plan for what it would take.
  3. Tasks & Tactics: daily and weekly steps to execute consistently.

Whether your aspirations are elaborate or rather simple, move in the direction of your goals. You can do this!
