Resilient Life #5
Just about the time you get really excited about your dreams and your plans, some giant will pop his head out. Even if the dream is big and especially if the planning is wise, those recurring giants will raise their ugly heads.
Becoming resilient does not exempt you from facing more giants. It equips you to battle them with great courage.
Most of us have been better-groomed for resilience than we may have thought. And for those of us who think we haven’t, there is still reason for hope. Did you know that new and surprising research tells us we can learn resilience at any point in life, even if we have failed to be resilient in the past? Sounds like the good news of second chances to me.
Maybe your giant is about fear or forgiveness. Perhaps you nemesis is named doubt, discipline, laziness, selfishness, debt, or depression. Please take an important step in your journey to the resilient life by naming your giants, analyzing your past approach, and embarking on a future of facing your giants!
You can do it!
Worth Repeating
The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
